The Construction and Specialized Workers’ Union, Local 1611 is committed to providing education financial assistance to our membership and their families, including the Roland B. Gordon Scholarship which is awarded every year.
Local 1611 provides yearly Education Awards to assist eligible students in furthering their; post-secondary education, trade or apprenticeship.
ROLAND B. GORDON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Roland B. Gordon Memorial Scholarship was first offered in 1982. The Executive Board of the Construction and General Workers’ Union Local No. 602 established the scholarship fund upon the acceptance and wishes of the membership.
In addition, upon amalgamation in 1997, Local 1070’s Larry W. Pleasant’s Scholarship was incorporated into this fund.
